Golden Milk

Who doesn’t love a warming drink in the winter?

While coffee might be your go-to, sometimes we all need to switch things up, right?

This golden milk is anti-inflammatory and has antioxidant properties, which is perfect for this time of year!

It’s a perfect cozy drink to warm up on a cold morning, or wind down on a winter night. But if you’re someone that loves their iced drinks, even in the winter, you can enjoy this cold, too!


  • 1.5 cups non-dairy milk of choice (we love Milkadamia Unsweetened Vanilla!)
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • a pinch of black pepper (this helps in the absorption of turmeric!)
  • 1/2 tsp each of cinnamon and ground ginger.
  • Sweetener to taste (we recommend 1-2 tsp pure maple syrup, or blend in one medjool date, but organic stevia or coconut sugar are also great options)


Blender Method

  • Add the turmeric, black pepper, and other optional spices and medjool date to a blender.
  • Heat your milk either in a small saucepan stove top or in the microwave.
  • Once it’s hot, add to the blender with the other ingredients and blend on high for 20-30 seconds until smooth and foamy.
  • Pour into a mug and enjoy.
  • Alternatively, you can blend everything first then heat the golden milk on the stove top. Both methods work well.

Stove Top Method

  • To make golden milk on the stove top, add all the ingredients to a small saucepan and heat over medium heat while whisking until steaming and frothy.
  • You can use an electric milk frother for extra froth.
  • Pour into a mug and enjoy.

Iced Golden Milk Method

  • To make iced golden milk, either use the blender method but skip the heating or simply add the spices and sweetener to a glass with a splash of water and mix into a paste then stir in cold dairy-free milk of choice and ice cubes, if desired.


We like our golden milk nice and creamy, but if you prefer it to be more of a tea, you can add up to two cups of milk, or 1 cup of milk and one cups of water. Then gently simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
