SPRING Into Fitness- Lean & Clean 2015

Alleluia to Spring!! We could not seem to get away from our dreary cold winter this year. As the seasons change, it is time to change some of our habits.

Clean out those cupboards and let go of all the “diets” you are planning to get your body ready for spring. At our “Deflate Your Weight” programs, we emphasize that our food plan is not a “diet” but a lifestyle.

** If you make one shift this year, move towards eating clean, whole foods.

Here are easy tips to move your body from winter hibernation and into a lightweight (and totally awesome) spring!!

  1. Do Not Skip Meals.

While trying to lose weight you might think to cut calories by skipping meals. That is the exact opposite of what you should be doing. Instead, plan out your meals to incorporate eating lighter, easily digestible foods.

  1. Say No to Processed Foods.

“If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don’t.” – Michael Pollen. Feeling sluggish, tired and bored, if you are putting preservatives, additives and junk in your body, those feelings will become your reality.

  1. Say Yes to Protein.

Eating a serving of good quality protein such as chicken, fish, eggs, grass fed beef and nuts with each meal or snack helps build healthy muscle while helping to stabilize your blood sugar. So say goodbye to moody ups and downs and unreliable energy levels throughout the day and start leaning into protein.

**Here’s to a lean, clean 2015!!

I have done DYW several times, and with each session, I have seen results! Cleaning eating has become my “eating” lifestyle and exercise is a habit. The support and guidance is unparalleled to any other program that I have been involved in. Thank you to everyone at Jeni-Fit for your support and attention to my weight loss journey. Xoxo
